demo thoughts:
mullet mad jack: hyperviolent roguelite fps that takes after a late 80s anime ova. you have 10 seconds to live but can extend your life by killing. the level design could use work. like, there's not much in the way of verticality (occasionally you'll have to jump up a ledge or slide down a slope) and levels don't seem especially layered. In addition, rooms are usually cramped to force you to get up close and personal which kind of precludes anything approaching long range play, so desparate shots across the room that end up saving your life aren't really a thing. I'm also concerned about the difficulty -- the two sections of 10 levels each i played felt really easy on normal difficulty, and i'm wondering if it just tips over to "unfair" eventually. when you die, you only redo the last 10 levels until you win, at which point you unlock more stuff in the upgrade pool, so there doesn't seem to be a way to adjust the difficulty curve by losing.
helskate: roguelite thps with a rudimentary combat system. skateboarding games really need to land the feel of skating -- this one doesn't have that yet.
never grave: the witch and the curse: dead cells-style roguelite metroidvania by way of hollow knight with basebuilding elements. this is being published by pocketpair, and has a similar kitchen sink style of features. you've got your roguelite metroidvania, but also your character can posess certain other enemies but also you've got a village to rebuild and harvest materials from in order to make both temporary and permanent buffs for future runs. it's just really a shame that the level design isn't there currently.
ff7 rebirth: they added perfect blocks and iframes to dodges. I think a lot of ff7re apologists said they omitted that on purpose so the fights would have a similar feel to a turn based battle, but, like, ff7 was atb -- you didn't really have time to attack and then defend before your enemy started swinging. with the changes, it feels almost like forspoken/ffxv, but not in a bad way.

there's no lifesim elements to persona 2 so they can't turn it into persona 5, so they won't remake it.
